Frequently Asked Questions

What to expect at your first appointment?

Please plan to arrive 15 minutes early to your first appointment to fill out new patient paperwork. If you complete this ahead of time, please arrive at least 5 minutes early to verify information with our front office.

At your first appointment you will meet with a Physical Therapist to discuss your current complaints and/or injury. After evaluation you and your provider will come up with a customized plan for rehabilitation. Appointments take approximately 45-60 minutes.

What should I wear to my PT visit?

You should wear something comfortable that you can move in. Most of our patients opt for athletic wear. If we are working on your knee or leg it can be helpful to bring a pair of shorts as well.

How many visits will I need?

This is personal and varies from patient to patient as well as each injury. We encourage you to talk more with your provider to determine your unique needs.

What insurances do you accept?

We are contracted with most major insurance companies. Please submit an appointment request form if you would like more information about your specific plan.

**Currently, we are not currently accepting new Medicare/Medicaid patients.

Do I need a prescription from my doctor?

Arizona became a Direct Access state in 2003, meaning that patients can see a Physical Therapist first for musculoskeletal injury without the need to see a physician.

We acknowledge that there are many medical conditions that benefit from multidisciplinary care or require additional care beyond the scope of Physical Therapy. In these instances, we work closely with you to find an appropriate provider or specialist to add to your treatment team

In rare instances, some private insurances still require a physician prescription so we will work with you to determine if this applies in your case. Medicare and Workers’ Compensation both require a prescription.

How do I pay my bill?

If you have your statement, please go to Patient Info > Pay Your Bill Online. You can also call or email our billing staff at billing.therazona@gmail.com or 480-331-4436.

Do you offer cash pay options?

We do. Please email or call the office to hear more about our cash pay practices. Itemized bills are available upon request.

Can I bring my child?

We do welcome children and infants at the clinic!  As a clinic that sees many patients who are also parents and early postpartum we understand that it can be difficult to find childcare while making time for yourself. If your child is not in a car seat or stroller we kindly ask that they are able to remain seated or self entertained for your visit to ensure the safety for them and other patients at our clinic. If you have questions about your personal situation, please call the front office.
